1. The inventory is part of the hero menu. Cycle through the different menu areas using the analog shoulder buttons.
2. Within the inventory area there are different sections for different items (Armor, Weapons, Potions, Artifacts…). Toggle the visible section using the left analog stick (push left/right)
3. Each section contains a list of items. These items are sorted according to quality. This allows the player to identify at-a-glance which items can be sold and which items should be examined more closely. All items are displayed with a symbol, name and several attributes (value, sockets, rarity…). Newly collected items are easily identified by a surrounding glow.
4. To equip an item use the left analog stick to select your desired item, then press the Equip button. A new symbol will appear in the list showing that the item is equipped (blue human symbol).
5. The hero is displayed showing all currently equipped weapons and armor. If you change equipment the hero will immediately display the new selections. The Armor Mask (5) allows the player to quickly identify what armor parts are equipped and which are missing. This is very important in SACRED 2 because every character can wear different armor parts. Furthermore, an animated sparkle effect appears around any armor part where the player has collected a potentially better armor for this body location.
6. If an item is of no use to the player, the item can be scrapped directly from within the inventory. The player will receive less money than a merchant would pay, but this function allows players to clean up their inventory quickly, easily and without being forced to journey to a town.
7. The Autoequip button is unique to the console version. By using this function the game will automatically select a good armor combination from all available items in the inventory. The Autoequip function is ideal for those players new to SACRED 2. Experienced players will often find it more rewarding to manually select their equipment.
8. Items in SACRED 2 can have a diverse range of attributes. The Compare function assists players in evaluating their items by allowing players to compare two selected items.
9. This display shows the recharge rate of the hero's Combat Arts. If the currently equipped armor is too heavy, or if the armor has attribute requirements not satisfied by the hero, then the recharge rate becomes slower. This rate can also be influenced by weapons and other items.
